RPH Floaters

We met Corey Duteau of RPhFloaters back in early 2001. He had a growing business that provided pharmacies in New York, Vermont and New Hampshire with registered pharmacists willing to work on a part-time basis for planned vacations, emergencies or even expansion needs of the individual pharmacies.

Since, typically, state laws require that retail pharmacies have a registered pharmacist onsite before the doors can be opened for business -- and most pharmacies sell a heck of a lot more than just drugs -- it is in their interest be open as often as possible. Now, imagine owner-managed pharmacies, unplanned sick leave, parental leave, vacations, etc. Pharmacies need a place to go for short-term temporary or long-term planned help. That's where RPhFloaters comes in.

Managing all the pharmacies, rates, sales opportunities, contractors and schedules became harder the larger RPhFloaters grew. That's where VickeryHill comes in.

RPh Floaters extranet by VickeryHill

We built an extranet capability of tracking clients, leads, employees and their schedules, along with client rates and future needs. RPhFloaters' management and staff login daily to check their schedules, make changes, add new opportunities, and even take notes about past experiences.

Acronyms and goofy names abound when you talk about technology and the Internet. What started with ARPA, DARPA, TCP/IP and Ethernet quickly became a mish-mash of barely descriptive, let alone pronouncable, terms. We do our damndest to keep up with them. Here are a few quirky terms we use on a daily basis that you might be interested in:

Confused? Yeah, sometimes we are too. When in doubt, head over to Wikipedia and do some searching - you might learn something.
