Comfort, cleanliness and a breakfast full of flavor and love
How do you depict the relaxation, warmth and spacious beauty of a high-class Vermont Bed & Breakfast on a computer screen? The innkeepers at the Yellow Farmhouse Inn B&B in the Mad River Valley weren’t struggling for business, but their website had a few problems:
- Dated, ‘flat’ look-and-feel
- Analytics that didnt track goals
- Old, dark photography
- Poor display on mobile devices
- No social networking presence
Their analytics showed that some pages had high bounce rates and visitors were not spending enough time on the pages to read the content.
We started out working with SensibleWorld and chose a simple, pre-bought design template and customized from there to fit their true nature. We built the site on top of our existing content management system and integrated their amazing new photos of each room and the b&b property.
We did extensive research and testing and worked out new calendar, design, rates and advanced analytics on Availability Online and taught the innkeepers how to create content that tells their story.
Toss in sharp photos on their new facebook page, an iPod Touch to take photos of those amazing breakfasts and relaxing benches and you have a recipe for success!
